Geveshi Architects Studio was founded on 20 May 2012 as a research and design studio determined to harness nature within every space, creating healthier living environments where our clients can live, work and relax in comfort.

Our designs are achieved by consciously shaping spaces around philosophical principles that bridge nature and the indoors, bringing light and a sense of belonging into everyday life. Our principles are rooted in biophilic design and sensing architecture, incorporating natural plants, sunlight, shadows, air, green artificial lighting and modern sustainable building materials to create the best ambience for human comfort.

We define thoughtful solutions to the limitations we face while designing and developing in the Maldives. Geveshi Architects Studio is determined to enhance human satisfaction to its utmost potential, balancing aesthetically pleasing spaces with the pure elements of nature.

Managing Director & Lead Architect

Mr. Ibrahim Niyas is the Managing Director and Lead Architect with over 22 years of experience in the Maldivian construction and built environment industry. Specializing in architecture, project management, and building construction, he has successfully delivered a wide range of projects, from residential developments to hotels and commercial buildings. His expertise is backed by extensive industry experience, academic qualifications in Architecture, and years of contributing to the profession through both practice and teaching.

Mr. Yoosuf Shan is an Architect and Urban Planner specializing in urban planning, master planning, and sustainable architectural design. With extensive experience across the Maldives and international projects, he has led the planning and design of residential, commercial, tourism, and public developments. His expertise combines innovative architectural solutions with climate-responsive planning, creating functional and sustainable spaces that enhance communities and the built environment.
